Swimmer's Ear

My precious Gabrielle got her first bout of swimmer's ear this week The doctor recommended this home remedy that I thought might be of some use to other parents. The home remedy was one part white vinegar plus one part hydrogen peroxide to one part rubbing alcohol. Put three to four drops to each for ten to fifteen minutes in each ear. This reduces the likelihood that the water will get trapped in the ear canal, causing further infection. Happy summer swimming everyone!!!

My Son's First Crisis of Conscience

My sweet little boy! He forgot he had a toy in his pocket yesterday when he left VBS, and he's been so worried about his teacher being "disappointed" in him if he brings it back because she'll think he took it on purpose! He's so bothered by it, he's brought it up to me at least twenty times with tears in his little eyes. The innocence of children is so refreshing!

Tonight was the first night of Vacation Bible School!

Tonight was the first night of VBS at our church! Gabrielle has gone in years past, but this year was the first year that Isaiah has been old enough to attend. It started at 6:30 p.m. and ended at 9:00 p.m. tonight, so I picked them up after my Immigration Law class. I thought 9 o'clock was a bit late for it to end, especially for Isaiah, as he's only 4 years old. He was exhausted, but he had a great time. I hope they are as excited tomorrow for Vacation Bible School as they were today!
